Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy and personal data
is very important to us. This Privacy Policy serves to inform you of all the
data processing procedures that take place on our website.
User
and customer data
You provide us with personal data during
the registration and purchase process. We process this data exclusively for the
purpose of performance of the contract between you and us.
One aspect of contract performance requires
us to disclose your data to public lost and found offices (municipalities,
towns, post offices) in the event your easyfind item is found. These
authorities are only permitted to use your data for the purpose of fulfilling
the tasks assigned to a lost and found office, namely to inform you that the item
has been found and to hand it over to you.
Additionally, your personal data are
disclosed to the necessary extent to our payment service and delivery service
providers to enable them to fulfil their obligations.
Your data are processed on the basis of Art
6 Para. 1 (b) GDPR. When you close your account, your user data are stored for
30 days and subsequently deleted. Data linked to the purchase of an item are
retained until the statutory retention period under tax law (7 years) expires.
Server
log files
In order to guarantee the security and
functionality of our websites, we need to collect and evaluate access data (the
visited website, date and time of access, browser, operating system, IP
address). These data are used in the event of a security incident to determine
and eliminate the cause. Data are stored for 12 months in accordance with Art.
6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR for this purpose.
Web
analysis
We use functions of the web analysis
service Google Analytics provided by Google Inc. based in the USA to evaluate
and improve our website.
This process uses cookies that enable an
analysis of how the website is used by visitors. The information generated in
this way is transferred to the provider's server and stored there.
Your IP address is also collected during
web analysis, although it is immediately anonymised to prevent the creation of
a personal reference.
Data processing is based on Art. 6
Para. 1 (f) GDPR as we have a justified interest in the evaluation of our
website performance. Transferring data
to the USA is in compliance with current legislation on account of the European
Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-US Privacy Shield).
You can prevent Google Analytics from
collecting data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available
under: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

functionality of our web pages.
If you do not want this to happen, you can
adjust your browser’s settings so that you are informed of when a cookie will
